Roughly translated, this gesture/greeting means "I see and honor the divinity that is within you and within me." This method of greeting seems especially appropriate for God-knowing and God-loving people to use as it recognizes that we are all linked together by a common thread - the actual literal presence of God within each of us. The Urantia Book calls this indwelling fragment of God the "Thought Adjuster" and describes it as our guide and companion on our eternal ascension careers.
"What the heck is a Urantia book?" you may be asking. According to the Urantia Book (UB) itself, it is the fifth epochal revelation of God to mankind, the fourth being presented in the incarnation of Joshua bar Josef, also known as Jesus of Nazareth. "Urantia", as indicated in the book, is the name given to our planet by God's celestial government. The UB is a tremendous repository of knowledge regarding God and the Cosmos. It beautifully weaves together science, philosophy and religion into an amazing tapestry which presents the most logical and comprehensive picture of God and his creations that I have ever encountered. It describes in great detail such things as the nature of God and the Trinity, the physical makeup of our universes, the celestial hierarchy and where we go when this physical body dies and we continue on our ascension careers. I have found it to be a simply amazing and invaluable source of God-knowledge and it has lead me to tremendous spiritual growth. I still utilize other sources and read other books, but the UB has provided the foundation for my spiritual life and it is the book to which I most often refer for guidance, knowledge and understanding. Having the opportunity to read and study this book has truly changed my life forever.
This website is intended to be a focal point of all the information I have collected regarding things of a spiritual or religious nature, with a heavy focus on the UB. I will include articles, pictures, audio, links or any other type of material I deem appropriate to the dissemination and discussion of God-related concepts. If you have any material you think would make a good addition to this site, or if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please email me at the address listed below.
